J.A.Baker’s The Peregrine is the masterpiece of nature writing and the starting point for an on-site immersive experience created by experimental theatre maker, Jack McNamara, called Tremor at the Edge of Vision: a site-specific walking exploration of The Peregrine.  

Fusing promenade, audio and 360 degree film, the work explores the Essex landscapes that Baker describes so viscerally within the book, alongside glimpses of the author, the creation of the work and the ghosts left in its wake.  

Tremor at the Edge of Vision invites audiences to make a meditative journey through six sites within Gunners Park and the surrounding landscape to experience an immersive audio-visual experience inspired by the book and its enigmatic author.

Accessibility

The work is sited around a lake in Gunners Park.  There is a path around the park, with some of the stopping points venturing onto grass.  The work is all accessible via one level.
