Luke Branch
Luke Branch is frontman and songwriter of the band Asylums. He also founded
Cool Thing Records
with his friends in 2014, where he is now CEO & Head of A+R & Marketing.
Asylums have wowed the crowds across the world with their trademark verve - highlights include Glastonbury, Reading, Bestival and many other festivals. They were recently awarded the PRS Momentum Fund to complete their third album which was recorded with Nirvana, Pixies and PJ Harvey producer Steve Albini. This album was released in Summer 2020 'Genetic Cabaret' was also a critical and commercial success.
Luke is a prolific songwriter outside of Asylums and has recently worked with Carl Barat, Universal, Polydor, Netflix and many others.
He also hosts 'Cool Thing Presents' on Soho Radio, a show which speaks to influential practitioners working in the arts about their process.
Luke Branch (Asylums) and Jennifer O'Neil (Indian Queens) have collaborated to create the official soundtrack to the Estuary Festival 2021 event trailer.

The Thames Estuary is home to some of the most overlooked landscapes and river vistas in the UK. The aim of Estuary has always been to encourage an exploration of these landscapes along with gaining insight into their history and significance.
