Luci Pina

Luci Pina's work is a visual, research based exploration of image, type and drawing, underpinned by the idea of using arts based practice as a conduit for learning; on a conceptual and practical level.

Driven by a need to engage with and celebrate black culture, her work often taps into the political, and notes surrounding heritage with a responsive, layered and intuitive approach to drawing and media; which sometimes extends to the personal and the sentimental.

Luci has created a sticker for An Unknown Earth, our Estuary 2021 Opening Weekend - in digital and print form to be shared widely.  Titled If you hate it, break it the sticker was a response to the idea of rebellion and abolishing existing systems that are no longer working. 

It's inspired by punk sentiment, aesthetic and diy poster designs.
